Covington House Historical Cabin
4201 Main St, Vancouver
This lovely little log Cabin sits back off of the road slightly, on the East side of the road. There is a very tall brick monument that says Vancouver in the grass median, by the Road. Limited parking so come early. Coming from the North on I-5 get off at the Main St. Exit, stay in that left lane and make a very tight Left turn into the curved Parking lot. Coming from the South, Right lane on Main St., North of Fourth Plain Rd. by two signals, turn Right into the parking lot. It is ust a couple hundred feet after the signal at 39th St. on Main. It is before the last signal putting you onto I-5 North bound ramp. There is a large First Presbyterian church across the street, 4300 Main St., but it is up the hill and hard to see.

R and C Ranch ~ Fiber Animals

This web site will take you to the Farm and the Store that the Johnson family owns. The versatility of their farm and the fiber animals is outstanding. She works magic with dying fibers of all sorts. She blends many fibers together for spinners of all different interests. The Farn raises rare colored Sheep and Angora rabbits. Their store has a wide range of colored and natural colored fibers for sale. The method that she uses in her hand dying process, makes the fiber come out in a very soft muted color variation of the spun yarn. Very few folks who dye fibers for sale, take the time and extra effort that she does in her dye bath process. Folks Ooh and Ahh over the spun yarn that she has dyed. An excellent source of spinning fibers for sale by the pound or the ounce. Check out the classes that she has available at their Ranch web site in Kalama Washington.
